Good question, right?
Here are some good reasons to set goals.
Set a goal because you want to create more valuable experiences. Not because you want to be more valuable. Your value is already set. Set a goal because you want to see what’s possible for you. Not because it’s possible that you can be more worthy. Your worth never changes. Don’t set a goal because you hate something about yourself. You can’t hate yourself better. Don’t set a goal to make yourself more happy. Happiness is a feeling…so it comes from our thoughts…not our results. Remember that every goal you set is totally optional and your achievement of it doesn’t make you a more amazing or happy human. Goals simply give us a way to learn to manage our brains and to learn and grow. Set them out of love for yourself…and see how much easier it is to accomplish them.
